Captain Bob, the artist, and master woodworker is a licensed captain and has a true love for the water. He has owned several boats during his lifetime, including both sail and power, with his largest boat being a 61-foot Hatteras motor yacht that was home to he and his wife for 19 years. Capt. Bob is married and 2024 will celebrate 57 years of marriage. He has two children, 5 grandchildren and one great child.
Captain Bob sold his Steel Fabrication and Engineering businesses and retired in 2019, then turned his attention to woodworking. He always had a love of wood, but never had the time to spend creating the beautiful pieces we see now. Capt. Bob works out of his 4-car garage which he has converted to a wood shop, he affectionately refers to as “The Old Garage”. He will document the progress of his various projects using Facebook and his YouTube Channel “Maritime Woodworks.”
All of Bob’s creations have a Maritime/Nautical theme. His creations include Boat Bars, Game fish, End tables, Hi-Low tables, Half Hull models of boats, models of Light Houses. As a member of the boating community, he has made numerous plaques and wood burgees for boat club Commodores. Additionally, he has rebuilt or refurbished numerous award Trophies for the Inter-Lake Yachting Assocation.
All his creations are unique and One-of-a-kind, each piece has a serial number and is signed and dated.
